Located near Pier 14 and overlooking San Francisco's Bay Bridge, this 40 feet tall sculpture is called as "Raygun Gothic Rocketship".
Designed by team of local artists Sean Orlando, Nathaniel Taylor, and David Shulman the rocket represents a retro-futuristic stylized vision of space travel as imagined in the Science Fiction during the 1930s and 1940s.
Commissioned by Black Rock Arts Foundation the rocket was created mostly from recycled, reclaimed, and reused materials.
