Here is a nine storey high green building on the Geroldstrasse, Zurich, constructed from 17 old shipping containers. It belongs to flagship shop of Freitag Retail Store, who sell bags and other accesories made from recycled tarps, tyre tube rubber and other discarded materials.

Shipping containers are being nowadays extensively used by architects to provide office/work space and low cost housing. One such building is at Trinity Buoy Wharf, London;
