This hole in the rock near the New Taipei City, Taiwan, though known as Shimen Cave, is not a cave but a stone arch created by the erosion of a outcrop near the beach. The framed sea viewed through the hole looks beautiful.
Its top which is accessible by means of steps on both the sides, is a popular spot for viewing the sunset and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. At one time it was used as a gun emplacement.
