Little Arch, Oregon

Google Street View

I spotted today this little arch in a small sea rock along the Oregon Coast Highway. Such arches are created in the rocks due to water erosion and there is nothing unusual in this rock, but it looked nice hence I am including it here.

Beautiful Hole In The Rock

Google Street View

This hole in the rock near the New Taipei City, Taiwan, though known as Shimen Cave, is not a cave but a stone arch created by the erosion of a outcrop near the beach. The framed sea viewed through the hole looks beautiful.

Its top which is accessible by means of steps on both the sides, is a popular spot for viewing the sunset and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. At one time it was used as a gun emplacement.

Vase Rock, Taiwan

Though shaped like a mushroom, this rock is locally known as Vase Rock (or Flower Vase Rock). It is one of the most famous rock formations and a popular tourist attraction in the small coral island of  Xiaoliuqiu (aka Little Liuqiu), Taiwan.
