Beautiful Pedestrian Coastal Path between Manarola and Riomaggiore

My last post was about a nice approach road to city tunnel in Suji-gu city of South Korea. Today I present a beautiful covered pedestrian path on the coast between the Italian villages of Manarola and Riomaggiore. These two villages are part of 'Cinque Terre' on the Italian Riviera coast of Liguria region, north-western Italy.

'Cinque Terre' which literary means "Five Lands" is a cluster of 5 small villages, which are famous for multi-coloured terraced houses on rugged and steep hills stretching upto deep cliffs overlooking the sea. These villages also have another unique feature that none of the villages have any motorable roads and the 8 km long coastal path which connects these is meant for hikers only.

To preserve the beauty of this region the whole area has been declared as "The Cinque Terre National Park" and is also a UNESCO World Heritage list.

A nice mural at the intersection of Viale della Libertà with Via Roma in the commune of Castronuovo di Sant'Andrea, Italy. The painter has nicely utilised the round corner of the house.

While roaming the streets of Corleone, Italy, came across this nice wall painting at Discesa Santa Maria, Corleone, Sicily, Italy.

The mural depicts nearby Cathedral Church dedicated to San Martino.

Incidentally the fictional Corleone family patriarch Vito Corleone (The Don) of the famous movie Godfather, belonged to Corleone, Sicily.

Time Warp is a hypothetical discontinuity or distortion occurring in the flow of time that would move person(s) or events from one time period to another.

This concept is generally found in science fiction and in a long shot may even become a reality in future, say couple of centuries later.

Google's camera cars capture images in different time periods and then these are stitched together to present a uniform flow of the surroundings or scenery.

However here is a example, when the two consecutive frames, taken at Strada per Scavolino, Pennabilli, Italy, display a very marked difference of the time period and these give an impression as if the viewer was transported (travelled) in time from summer to winter or vice versa.

Statues on Salita di Montecavallo, Rome

Found these seven statues while roaming the Salita (English: Accent/Climb) di Montecavallo, Rome - A path which leads to the famous Piazza del Quirinale - the finest squares of Rome located on the Quirinale Hills, the highest of the seven hills of Rome.

A plaque near the statues indicates that these were installed in 1866, however I couldn't find any information about the identities of the persons in the statues. (View  the contents of the plaque.)

Perhaps some of my readers can give more information about these statues.

Here is a poster/painting on a wall on Onorato Vigiliani Road (Italian: Via) in Turin, Italy, showing Charlie Chaplin in his famous movie "The Kid".

The movie was Chaplin's first full-length film. It was a huge success and was second-highest grossing film in 1921.
